I’m not my emotions, my thoughts or the expectations of my family, society or culture. I’m the watcher on the wall, the observer locked here in this prison with you.
Most fundamentally, all beings are the sum total of the actions they choose to take. It is hard to take quality actions when we don’t even realize who and what we are in the first place.
This is the key right here. Sound emanates from silence. Darkness provides the context for light. The ego must be silenced for those two reasons, which are really the same reason, singular.
With what will you will your silence? What kind of light will you become shining in the darkness that surrounds us? That is the question worthy of answering.
