BA is one of the better airlines in Europe. Which isn’t saying much. I fly with them as my main business is based nearby heathrow. It’s not close to Asian and ME standards but it gets significantly worse in many other European airlines.

Is Heathrow really that bad? I always find Terminal 5 decent enough – better shopping, food and lounge options than a lot of European airports.

Totally agree, the new club seats are great but I do like the old ones too, especially if you get a window seat with direct access that you don't have to step over the aisle seat, very private seats.

i was so used to AA's miserable treatment, so when I got to fly BA, it felt like a huge improvement over AA.

One of the worst airlines I have used in Europe. They used to be great with great service etc but not now.
Some of the rudest staff and the classic for me is when you pay for business class seats they still charge you to book a seat. So if you want a specific seat or want to sit next to another passenger you have to pay a premium on top of their expensive tickets.

I have flown with BA business a few times now on long and short haul flights and they have been the best airline for me so far. Couldn’t rate them enough.

One more thing to note, this may not be the fault of the BA crew due but their services can feel like “it’s just my job” at times

As a cyclist they accommodate me well. I don’t need to remember what to tick as extras compared to other airlines. That said they could improve their fleet. Flew to Boston on economy with my Amex offer and their IFE was too cumbersome to use and on my way to Boston it froze and can’t see flight progress. Heathrow is a hit and miss but as you rightly pointed out plenty of food places to waste time if not in the lounge. My biggest bugbear is taking a bus to the aircraft.

I think the old business class is fantastic - everyone gets a lie flat seat but they fit a lot more into the same space. Much more efficient.

BA are NEVER the cheapest option otherwise their product would reflect it. BA have gone downhill so much, I don't use them anymore, Finnair are my go-to European airline now.

As a very frequent flyer on BA I have had no issues with BA. They treat their frequent flyers extremely well. The food is great, sleepers are comfortable and Heathrow has fantastic shopping.
