Wanda did not cause that accident! Wanda did quite literally everything in her power to contain an explosion that she did not cause. She wasn't strong enough to fully contain it, and 12 people died as a result, but had Wanda not done what she did the casualties would have been much, much worse. She was a hero that day, not a screw-up!
That's something that has always bugged me about "Age of Ultron", Wanda -- and by extension Cap's whole team -- being blamed for something that was absolutely not their fault. That was despite the fact that they successfully prevented a vial of the world's most dangerous infectious disease from being stolen by the world's most dangerous terrorist. They potentially saved the lives of billions that day, and all they got from it was blame because, well, you can't just blame the terrorist who actually caused the damn explosion, now can you?! You have to blame the heroes who stopped it because the mission didn't go 100% perfect.
