Very true. I've been working as an electric bridge operator in Cleveland Ohio for 30 years and some people think it is the perfect job until they have to work 16 hours per day 80 hours per week and working holidays and no family time. And all they do is wind and complain after a few months.

I’ve been job hopping these local gigs lately. I did food service for about a month but left to a higher paying touch freight job. I’m trying to get into Sysco or us foods now. They make bank. It’s all about the money from what I’ve learned now. Food service isn’t as bad as people say it is. I mean look at you, you’re over there getting hella good. Stay up!

It really does start with "You" and doing some serious honest self reflection. If you like everything but 1 or 2 things provided you're making market money. Talk to someone about those 1 or 2 things they might be able to find a solution before jumping shit, Also, If its depending on the 1 or 2 things that employer is probably a better fit then you think it is.

No perfect job is true but I had to change jobs every year or so for a while to find jobs that paid well also moved states a few time to get to more affordable living. Shouldn’t change jobs every 6 months I agree but still depending on where you live good jobs might not be around and employers lie or do shady stuff you don’t know till you start sometimes it takes moving around to really find your place and yet most of the 60 plus year old drivers I know have had so many different jobs over the years in trucking so it’s actually pretty normal. If you land a really good job that fits most of your needs early on good for you but many of us don’t.

2022 I had like 7 different jobs and decided fuel hauling was the best option for me. Never been OTR and probably never will I make class A money driving a Class B fuel truck.
