John Ratcliffe was my Congressman. He is the only reason I pay attention to politics now. I used to think it was all a puppet show, false promises across the board blah, blah, blah. Until, my wife and I had been waiting for more than a year and a half for USCIS to renew her green card. Somebody told me to contact our congressman. I was like, "What for?"
They said, "That's part of their job to intervene with stuff like that."
I wasn't convinced, but I contacted his office anyway. 4 days later my wife was holding her green card in her hand. No lie.
