The reason I love Layla shield is because it’s almost it’s only like basically a few seconds late until you can turn it on so you can basically spam your shield unless it’s shield gets destroyed

Layla player here, Layla is great for damage, shielding and application. Not just “shield”..

Kirara overall is good, but not great, though she is really fun to play. Damage, shield, and dendro application are all there but not ideal. That makes her a good 4-star to fit many teams. Plus, she meows when she bounces as a box kitty.

I was a proud Kirara main and I can confidently say that her shield is insanely good.

As a kirara main i know a few thing behind her cons. if you have her con that give other player shield and stay on catbox form you can give infinite shield if you touch them in catbox form, until the the skill ends the shield would be infinite although its a 40% sturdy as kirara shield.

My level 80٫ C6 Kirara is literally a sub dps in hyperbloomig teams and I don't have to worry about taking damage from the elementar reaction since her shield cover it

I play Layla with Wanderer, and I like having the cryo application as something to swirl. It's not required for my gameplay, but it's why I don't want to switch her for Kirara or Zhongli.

Layla has offield application, something essential to most dendro support units kirara isnt good at. She can do good as a second dendro unit or if you ignore her element but its difficult

I still prefer Layla. Since A. She's great in co-op since you only need c1 to help others. B. You can easily tell when her shield is about to end bc of her cryo stars. C. She's my sleepy princess. D. I'm an anemo main. SWIRL BABY

So what you all should know is Kiarara has the best shield in the game (scaling wise) it will have the most hp even more than Zhongli. Zhongli is still better, tho because everytime its hit, it takes less damage, effectively doubling its hp in a good chunk of scenarios

I mean he isn't wrong kirara is useful but at the same time I just use Layla as shield+cryo applier+off field burst support for my furina..

another bonus to kirara shield is that its resistant to bloom reactions like burgeon and bloom so it w9nt break from them

Just to make clear, Layla's is not just 'shield', it's shooting cryo stars too, so shield+cryo applicator 👍
