Megalodons definitely went extinct. Their extinction was caused by the emergence of faster sharks, like the great white, eating all their prey, moreover they require a large amount of food due to their size, which isn’t too sustainable for that kind of predator. Also most organisms in deep waters like the trench have little to no bones due to the fact the water pressure is so intense, the megalodon would flatline

Not a single researcher believes that the megalodon is still alive

You ever heard the saying:: Don’t go looking for something because you’re probably not going to like what you find !!!!! The depths of the Ocean are included in that saying!!!

We knew for 100 percent fact that the giant squid was a real animal for wayyy longer than 2006. We have found many remains of them. Just never filmed them.

There's a saying that we humans know more about space than the ocean.

I don't think sharks would be way down there where food is scarce. Makes no sense to me.

The Meg lived mid depth mostly a little below surface, a shark used to light pressure couldn't live down there with that high pressure and density. Plus it barely would have anything to eat down there, it's basically a 0% chance

Sharks are cold blodded. Many of them are seen in warm parts of the ocean and the mariana trench is not one of them. Besides. As with many large animals, they require a lot of food and the mariana tench has little to no sustainability for any shark.
