For "slabs" too large for my planer I use this pretty simple router sled setup. The rails are off Amazon, nothing too fancy but they slide smooth and it's easy to adjust their height by adding plywood underneath. Then my Bora 3.25hp router combined with the SpeTool W05003 beast of a surfacing bit make quick work of it. Bout to be a dust storm in my shop! 😷
