Tried to get on with the stereo one, couldnt get it to behave right. same with the mic preamp. real rev F's can be like that to me but more transparently than the lindell. the hairball circuit is pretty close and worth the trouble building the kit.

Haha, I also have a 7x500 that I bought used for a steal and I'm using it on a kick+sn bus out in parallel with a stereo drum bus that goes through an Overstayer FET compressor. The Lindell has a dodgy bypass button which I decided to fix and while it was in the shop I was certain that I could easily replicate the sound with plugins. After one hour of tweaking 1176 plugins I couldn't get it to sound the same... So I decided to keep it as I really like how the kick and snare pops out with the 7x500 and if it's not easy to replicate I thought I'd just keep it. But now you've got me interested in the PA plugin version...
