How do you know the difference between valuable antiques and old junk? Hardy Hodges of Dillon, South Carolina knows. People in town used to call him a junkman, but not anymore. Now he makes big money with what looks like a huge pile of trash. For over 30 years he bought literally anything. In the late 1970s the antiques boom hit and his collection of junk became a mecca for collectors of vintage memorabilia. It doesn’t matter is it’s rusted, battered or broken … now it antique and has turned to gold.
