Taking care of red root floaters isn’t as easy as a lot of people think it is. This floating plant needs softer water and what we had to do was mix our water with half reverse osmosis water. If you wanted my advice on how you can grow this effectively the only way to do it is to soften your aquarium water.

I've struggled with this plant too. My secret to get it to grow is heavy fertilizing and stagnant water. My city ph is 9.5

They are easy if u follow the main steps no lid on tank no surface agitation dose fertiliser weekly and they are easy

Interesting. I never had issues with relatively hard water, but they say that Midwest water is liquid rock so i guess that makes sense
