Absolute truth! Their conviction doesn’t make them repent or walk in the fruit of the spirit. Instead they choose to walk in pride, strife, envy and gossip. When you choose to walk with Christ, they choose to twist and turn the truth around strategizing to make you look like the bad person.

They also see, in someone going down that path, a reminder of their shortcomings. Their ego, instead of convicting themselves of their action, will compell them to project this upon one who is making a real effort to obey the teachings of Jesus concerning worshipping the Most High, Elelyon.
By walking a righteous path, it is a reminder to others how far away they are from it.

While he was referring to sacrifices... There is also a very real parallel with the attacks on those who do walk the narrow path, by those who have not or will not.

Not only few friends, but few dates, if you're single. Going through that now. I flat out refuse to be a "intimate friend", a long term girlfriend or live together outside of marriage. I know the right man will love my walk with our Lord. I wait quietly and prayerfully foor His mature Man of Fire.

Perhaps the demonic spirits in others are stirred & manifest negatively around Holy Spirit filled Christians. They don’t seem to understand why they feel & react the way they do.
