I have looked up to Charlie for a long time. We lost a good one today. He was stolen from us, rather. He set the tone for civil political discourse. I’ve seen celebration on social media that is fucking sickening. Of the few imbeciles I’ve responded to that claim he spewed hate or preached hate, not one has been able to cite an example. Not one. That’s what Charlie would have done: invite the person to give him an example. And when they couldn’t, his point would be proved.
I honestly pray this will be the event that is a turning point for America. It would be healing and a tribute to his life and death.
