The keyhole should jave remained and the fack sora used his keyblade as a normal keybto locked the door should have been used at some point.
But not at the beginning and not to replace the the way other doors are locked.
But show thw greater importance that destiny islands hold on the KH universe.

The keyhole is in the final game, the cutscene during monstro only riku sees it.
