I have a leak in the same area, but I didn't find it entering by the three bumper fixing lugs, it seemed to be rising up from the drain hole (despite there being a plug in the hole - so not really a drain hole as such). Anyway, my solution was to remove the rubber bung in the hole so that water can now drain rather than puddle up. Also the same on the other side where battery is.
