I pulled out a roasted maple neck and a white Thinline Telecaster body and decided to build something that is appropriate for the temperatures we are experiencing so far this summer.
I am thinking hot beaches where tan skin is only clothed in thin, white cotton. The Seals and Croft song “Summer Breeze” that blanketed 1970’s top 40 airwaves will not get out of my head while working on this build. That actually may be motivation to finish quickly.
The body is made of Alder and the finish is a Pearl White Poly finish.
The neck is a Fender Licensed roasted maple neck finished in Satin Tinted Nitro with a modern C profile, 21 medium jumbo frets, and a 9.5-inch radius. The tuners are Fender Modern Tuners.
The bridge, control panel, neck plate and other hardware are all made by Fender.
The pickups are from a Fender American Standard Telecaster and the wiring harness is a modern style telecaster circuit with 2 CTS solid shaft pots, three-position Oak Grigsby Pickup Selector switch, and a .047 Orange Drop Capacitor.
Unplugged or plugged into an amp she sounds as cool as she looks.
