I've always hated that expression. It's misanthropic and narcissistic. I have teachers in my family who teach because it's genuinely in their hearts to teach and to guide their students. They delight in it. At the age of 50, I appreciate anyone who takes time to help me learn something new or understand something better. So, thank you for teaching all of us! Keep it up.
