My father in law had a classic mid 70’s Corvette. He wanted to rebuild the engine and thought that I could use the mechanical experience. So we took it to his friends machine shop and laid out a big sheet of canvas. He handed me a set of wrenches and said that if it could be removed he wanted it taken off and laid out, with bolts and screws next to the parts. I worked on that all day and filled up two canvases, and was still nowhere near done. I definitely learned something new that day.
Several weeks later he called me over to his house and showed me the Vette with a fully rebuilt engine, and then took me for a hair raising ride. Lol

Cool! anyway, here is the recipie for brownies!
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
2. In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
4. If desired, fold in the chopped nuts into the batter.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
7. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Enjoy your homemade brownies!
