The best travel pants ever are cargo pants. If you have to disembark in an emergency, you can put your wallet, glasses, passport, etc in your pockets since they don’t allow any luggage or purses, etc. to go down the emergency slides.
Plus, if you are over weight, you can carry small heavy items, like power packs, in your pockets.

Great comment about the wide leg pants. Those, and anything like tie belts or long cardigans that can dangle are a disaster in toilets that can leave you wanting to incinerate your shoes. My favorite travel pant right now is a slim-legged, elastic waist bamboo jersey-like fabric. They are quite light weight, incredibly comfortable, wash without ironing, and suit most climates. They look casual with tee shirt and runners, but look like a dress pant if I wear a nice top and my dressy flats.

I bought these pants in black and khaki. I LOVE that they are so thin. I didn't realize that from this short video BUT these will be great for my Japan trip. Seems like I could wash on the go and they would dry quickly too. Thx for the recommendation. ❤

I love Eddie Bauer pants for travel. They have all lengths and for all seasons. They have pockets, sometimes zipped. They wash up great! I always wait till they’re on sale or clearance.
