It's weird seeing scissors not working the way they're intended(for cutting things and possibly people).

a charge attack by opening the sizzors and closing then sending you forward and splitting enemies in half seems cool.
also a funny magic type weapon would be some kind of stress toy like those cubes and they'd give your mind focus to cast some kind of spell.

-Paper Airplanes being a homing attack, and the longer you hold down the fire button, the better the plane is. It goes from crumbled ball that doesn't home, to a basic airplane that sorta homes, to an over the top attack copter that shouldn't be doable with paper.
-Soda cans that work as grenades. Added bonus if each time you roll, the soda gets more dangerous and explosive.
-Stapler as a weapon that slows and roots. The staples stick on enemies and they become slower, until they can't move. Like a few seconds after getting hit by the first staple, the enemy shakes off all the staples. New staples slightly increase the time limit, allowing you to get a few more hits in with diminishing returns.
-Bagged Lunch Mines. If an enemy steps on it, then the overwhelming stench of rot, microwaved fish or whatever slowly permeates the area, overwhelming foes.

I would leave that more basic animation for something like a pencil for more variety, but then again you could also make a pencil a spear weapon (would also be cool if you made some melee weapons if not all make the character dash forward as they swung to close the gap and make the game more fast paced)

You should add a spit ball shooter because if I was bored in an office I would make one or make a paper airplane. These items could stun the enemies like spit would make them disgusted and paper airplanes could poke their eyes or something like that. You should also make an item like a pin to put on the ground to lead the enemy into like a trap.

Swinging them through the air can do knockback, but you should make it so snipping them just does damage intead.

Paper shredder. Can grab an enemy and shoot it at other enemies. Deals damage based on the enemy (if it’s a small enemy, it doesn’t do much, but larger one do more damage.) it can also pick up objects and works a similar way.

Honestly, The best thing I would think you could add would be one-time consumables, like coffee that makes you faster, protein shakes that make your melee or throwing weapons (I mean one-time consumable weapons that are things you throw) deal more damage, or just a cup of water that makes your ranged weapons deal more damage (This could be explained because if you dont have water you get woozy irl and see mirages and stuff, as well as being weaker so it helps improve your accuracy bc you can stabilize ur weapons more and you can see exactly where the enemy is) dropped by I don't remember their names but ill call them the tired guy (coffee) the strong guy (protein shake) and the object guy (water). Also, I mentioned throwables, which can be bought in shop rooms that appear once or twice per level. And as you could guess, these are really good weapons that can only be used once before ✨poof there gone✨

Being able to snip with the scissors instead of just swinging them would be cool. The swing could be like an alt click with a slower startup, but it deals more damage and has the knockback.

i think splitting the scissors into two halves and make them dagger would be extra badass
