I heard fender 7 string, and my mouth popped open, then i heard SQUIRE 7 string and my chin hit my toes. Why were these not in every nu metal teeange kids bedroom across the country? Very cool little slice of history bro. Thanks for sharing!

They're missing out on a pretty large market by not offering a 7 string model anymore, I know plenty of people that would buy one in a heartbeat

as a fellow guitarist i am NOT a purist, some ppl that i have met wont play a guitar under $1000 while me i always look for those hidden gems. so any time is a music shop i always stop in an give their used guitars a run n 8 years ago i stubbled in to a place call the music box in hamilton nj. the owner's name is Frank n he had a luthier who worked for him that broke some the in really bad shape instruments n creates custom monstrosities. after meeting him i made special trips out there to have service all my instruments. anyway they had this used squire telle that the parts were made in Japan but assembled in the US and it sounded so different from the Mexico ones. it sounded awesome i asked the owner Frank how much (had a price tag of 250 n he said "you bring all types of instruments to get custom work one all the time, so for you 75 bucks". so that guitar is my favorite instrument to play it just feels right n sound so good. although it is odd having sit next to my Ibanze RG Prestige Custom that i had Team J-Craft build for me back in 2001 n they are both equally fun to play.
