I do not mean to get all philosophical on you, but I wanted to say something. It is really important to make sure you find things in life that you enjoy and make you smile. The fun things that make it all worth it. Make sure you notice them and not take them for granted. This is really important. It is what makes life all worth it.
Nancy Elhallak at Graffiti Garage recently reached out to me and wanted to trade some painted bodies for the Jimi Telecaster I released a video on recently.
www.graffiti-garage.com/ My Jimi Telecaster:
â˘Â Jimi Hendrix Telecaster #guitar #guit...  Nancy creates one-of-a-kind guitars for bands all over the place and does amazing work. One of the processes she does is she can actually print onto the body of the guitar and then seal the guitar body surface, so it is permanent. I have built a telecaster before with one of her bodies.
My Telecaster video with one of Nancyâs bodies.
â˘Â A KALIDESCOPE IN My Eyes - My Most CO...  One of the bodies she offered was a very colorful Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster body that was kind of Andy Warholâish in how it looked. I decided to hold onto the Tele and offered to buy the Jimi body.
A few weeks later it was delivered to the house. The body is standard Fender specifications. The pickguard is painted in the same pattern and when installed it blends into the image seamlessly.
This will be my second guitar build that incorporates Jimiâs image into the artwork design. I have a third guitar body that is a Stratocaster body being painted for me now, that will also have his image. This will then close out the trilogy of Jimi.
After building the Jimi Tele I decided that I did not really like reverse headstock guitars. So for this build I used a Fender MIM Classic Series '70s
StratocasterÂŽ "U" Neck, 3-Bolt Mount, 21 Vintage-Style Frets.
I converted the neck to a four-bolt design and installed it on the body. Something about a bullet, large headstock Fender neck just seems right on this guitar.
For the electronics I purchased a Fender Vintera I| 50s RI Stratocaster LOADED PICKGUARD, Prewired Strat 1950s that came with all of the wiring and the pickups ready to go. I love the sound out of the Vintera II line of instruments.
For the tuners I went with Fender F logo tuners. I also used a Fender Stratocaster bridge, and all other hardware is Fender as well. Basically, this is a Fender guitar with the Jimi body installed.
