Can we take a second to admire the package the Royals got for Greinke. Solid package, basically won them the World Series.

A lot of people forget Cruz was (briefly) a Brewer, and good lord, just the idea of him on those late 2000's - early 2010's Brewers lineups is terrifying. They already had one of the best offenses in the league. Also, this transaction tree goes back even further to when the Brewers drafted Mark Loretta in 1993.

TIL Greinke was an Angel. I feel like I came from an alternate timeline where that never happened cause I have no memory of this

Well Jolly this can go all the way back to 1993 when Milwaukee drafted Mark Loretta. Loretta was traded to the Astros in 2002 for two PTBNLs who ended up being Wayne Franklin and Keith Ginter. Ginter was traded to the Oakland Athletics for Nelson Cruz.

All these trades led us to being good now. I guess great things do take time

I mean, it really didn’t only take Cruz when you boil it down. It took Cruz, Carlos Lee, Lorenzo Cain, Alcides Escobar, Jeremy Jeffress, and a bunch of prospects including Lewis Brinson and Jordan Yamamoto. Still a pretty awesome trade tree though!
