I'm just an amatuer in chess, but why is that a brilliant move? Queen d4 would also do a chess to black king, black king has to move to c6 or c7 (doesnt matter) and next move white is Queen c3, which prevent the chessmate and white still have both rooks.

Thereās a bishop on d5 therefore qd4 isnāt a check. If you play qd4; black plays qb2 checkmate
