Come on, Dallas and Houston are huge cities with lots of gays. Houston even had a lesbian mayor recently. A lot of the cities you mentioned are quite gay-friendly.

I would argue, it’s not the cities but the states. The cities are generally hospitable but they have limited control due to the state government. Plus, a list without Idaho cannot be taken seriously.
