Lucky for Anderson, he was part of a landmark clinical trial at UC Davis Children's Hospital, known formally as the âCuRe Trial: Cellular Therapy for In Utero Repair of Myelomeningocele.â It is a first-of-its-kind spina bifida treatment combining fetal surgery with stem cells.
Anderson was one of the first participants in the trial, and now 30 months later, he was back at UC Davis Health for an evaluation and graduation ceremony. Soon to be three years old, how about three cheers for Anderson!
