Shadow work is hard, also saveing people from their worst fears in the dreamscape by appearing as a defender in their dreams is taxing. You will wake up exhausted, like you just ran 10 marathons. Ir takes a lot out of someone to do work that no one even knows exists but keeps a lot of people going.
If you want to help yourself regain some of your energy try useing Hypnogagia by listening to calming or rythmatic music and hypnotising yourself into a deep meditative thinking state where your disconnected from the dreamscape but at full rest even when your body is awake. When you start to waver or fall asleep then you know youve done it right. Wake yourself up with some water and you SHOULD feel well rested again.
Mind you, doing this can be difficult for the first few times and some people wont be able to do it at all depending on how good you are at meditation and keeping your thoughts unclouded.
