I worked for a company that sold our centrally located lot and warehouse/office to a developer without having a spot to relocate to. Long story short, our warehouse/production ended up on the northwest side of town, admin in downtown, and transportation/maintenance on the southside.
It was a disaster, but hey... at least somebody's palms got good and greased.

They did something similar to this at my uncle's job but the parking for the bus was only a mile away from the facility. They had to hire two whole shifts of new people because of all the people who quit, lost millions of dollars, and reopened the parking lot after only a week then started hiring back the employees who quit with raises lmao
