It will NOT go up without power, but it has a manual release to lower.

For low cars and stuff like BMWs with the deep jack points, this is a game changer because you can jack it without handle swing issues

If you have a need regularly, such as a situation where you have next to no room to pump the handle, sure good idea. If not, buying this seems like the peak of laziness.

I have an air powered jack, same concept except it's a bottle jack set into a frame, they're pretty awesome, this is even better than that because the bottle jack is about a foot tall, so I almost never use it unless I'm working on something tall.

It's a good idea. The handle looks a little vacuum style and is probably plastic.

I doubt itll be used in nascar or f1 without several failsafes as itll take 1 dead battery or malfunction and itll be gone from there. As a home use or shop quick use before putting them on lifts, its probably useful if you like expensive things that do the job a little bit faster and easier.

Its hard to use floorjack. I have a dual piston and its still hard. They should make a floor jackthat takes 20 pounds of pressure to lift a car.
