🇺🇸 My Hot Chocolate Cups from last year are, of course, back again this year!

They’re super easy to make using chocolate, cocoa powder, and mini marshmallows. All you need in addition are disposable cups (preferably cardboard ones; I happened to have old plastic ones at home that I used for this), candy canes, and some sugar sprinkles for decoration.

These also make great gifts as they can be beautifully packaged.


What you need:

Disposable cups

Chocolate or couverture

Candy canes

Cocoa powder

Mini marshmallows

Sugar sprinkles for decoration


Instructions:

1. Melt the chocolate in a water bath or in the microwave at a low power setting. Pour the melted chocolate into the disposable cups.


2. Turn the cups as shown in the video to coat the inside with chocolate. Let the chocolate set and repeat the process to make the chocolate cups sturdy. Allow them to fully harden.


3. Carefully remove the disposable cups.


4. Pour a little more melted chocolate into the chocolate cups and place the candy canes inside. Let them set.


5. Add 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder to each cup and top with mini marshmallows. Drizzle some melted chocolate over the marshmallows to bind them together so they don’t fall out of the cups.


6. Decorate the cups with more melted chocolate and sugar sprinkles. Finally, dip the edges of the cups in melted chocolate and decorate further if desired.



To make hot chocolate, simply place the cups in hot milk, wait a moment, and then stir well.
