On a 5-12 or a 6-12 pitch roof a long time ago I helped a roofer & we used carpet padding under our knees to stay on the roof. LoL. A lot cheaper.

Yeah I can see this a game changer cause 18 years ón the field roofers would use couch cushions on 10\12 to keep from sliding and damaging shingles. Only question is the cost?

Soft foam is great for roofing strap it to your shoes or use a piece to sit/kneel on...yes i would trust it

Useless... If a jet falls from the sky and lands on the roof, this will become unstable and cause you to lose your balance.

Roofer of 20 years. So i can say with authority that you wouldn't believe how well a foam pad sticks to shingles. Old, new, doesn't matter. I used to stand on 12/12 roofs without a rope and i never used foam. But i know guys that did and do still. Some boys will just bring in a cheap couch cushion. Works like a dream! This is probably pretty expensive and if you use it daily you're going to kill all that foam. Then you have to replace it. But this will 100% save your life if you have trouble standing on shingles. It'll save your ankles too because it lets you stand level. Question is how much does it cost not just to buy but to replace?

I’m curious how they hold up in the long run. I can’t imagine the glue holding the soft foam to the hard foam would last more than a few years. Just a thought. I’m sure people in the field using this product could weigh in and let us know for sure!

dang, I do a big xmas light display and these would be awesome. Although dang they seem a bit pricey for some polystyrene and foam.

Yep! I've staples egg carton foam on boards to hold bundles on roof. Works with any pitch. Stand on em too
