Some things all souls likes usually have in common:
1. Focuses on combat the most out of everything else
2. Real difficulty, not just making everything kill you but also requiring players to master the mechanics of a game
3. Skill checks/ bosses, they need to be challenging and well designed with a clear theme and tests your abilities as a player
4. A focus on getter better as a player not a focus on your character becoming better.
I see all of these in black myth wukong so it’s a souls like for sure.

The main reason i dont categorize Wukong as soulslike....you don't lose all your "souls" on death. Which is the biggest stray from it (which i am okay with 😂

For me it depends. You can respec, no souls or will lost after death, and can change stances with a single weapon. But you have a stamina bar, tough bosses and checkpoints in the form of shrines. So half I guess?
