Well, itโs because of the history between Korea & America (after WW2) thatโs why a lot of young & old South Koreans like America a lot. When you ask a Japanese person they usually prefer European countries (especially Germany & France). And I noticed a lot of Japanese people from OLDER generation (boomers) dislike America because of the historical context.

Okay. Now, i know this guy is just being a tad bit sarcastic with a side of irony. To those jumping on the hater bandwagon, take a seat on this one... these people know that's what they expect random viewers to view a "typical" American as but that's also a dumb stereotype that Non-Americans think of the average U.S. native.

Lmao the disappointment from every friends and family I've invited from Korea... qq
All the homeless people, drugs, bad fashion... obesity...
And when I tell them about the healthcare bs they ask me why I even live here lol ๐ข
Tbh I kinda love the non judgemental culture here plus people are a little more empathic about certain things plus you don't needa slave away your childhood at school just to make someone else rich for the rest of your life..

What I've found is that most foreigners picture the US as being New York City and Los Angeles (much the way people picture France as just Paris). That's America at its most glamorous and culturally advanced.
