This was done on one of the seasons of "Lego Masters". One team held up 523kg / 1153lb. They ran out of weights and the bridge wasn't even strained.

If you did this again you might be able to get the suspension bridge to hold more if you anchored the ends of the cables into something solid and heavy.

The cable anchors are what give a real life suspension bring a large amount of its strength as it redirects the force.

If you think about the map of Lego City undercover that suspension bridge would be Heritage Bridge which based off of the fact that legacy is mostly based off of San Francisco Bay with the Statue of Liberty flopped in the middle of the lake, the bridge is based off of the Golden gate bridge

Edit: after laying an image of Lego City over San Francisco and looking at a few images I have come to the conclusion that is more closely related to the Auburn Bay bridge... They did not get very creative with that one just dealing with the name of the bay and throwing it in the bridge one, at least Apollo Island isn't something that if someone could completely call but it's based off of by accident without knowing about this game
