How does it lift off??? It doesn't look capable.

Where are the wings? Those struts just hold the props in place, couldn't possibly provide significant lift.

I wish them luck. There's plenty of revolutionary e-airplanes on YouTube that fly on AutoCad, and I hope AMSL can transition to the real thing, keeping cost and risk under control, and performance and utility acceptable.

I dream of a kit that can be delivered by Amazon, snapped together like Legos and has an L/D coefficient of at least 10:1 in case of EMP or catastrophic propulsion failure...is anyone providing this level of safety and ease of assembly?

Hello, i would like to ask if you could make a video on the "volar evtol" from "bellwheter" its a really unique looking evtol, i really would love a indepht look on the ideas that they put foward, for exemple, puting the propelers inside the chasi so its more frindly to people when its lands and when in flight to help let them move closer, also it is really good loking, really has a vibe of a futuristic flying car unlike most evtols

oh shit it runs on hydrogen! Is that a particularly good storage medium for aircraft? I imagine it is a lot lighter than a battery

I donโ€™t think this thing is that capable!
Have to watch it fly for real!

Well, by all means, don't show us anything about how it actually flies, nobody would be interested in that. Not even an animation?!

How are we basing 'most efficient'? Is there some specific mission profile we are meeting? or is it on the basis of speed, weight, range etc?
Also, certification in Au can take a decade so Im assuming theyre going through US Certification, which makes it a default accept for Australia. Can you say which?
Cheers

Yes it is interesting and raises the bar, 300kmph and 250km one way range and 800km+ using hydrogen with 500kg load
The specs are going to be difficult to meet for some time.
It seems their primary intended mission is medivac and passenger transport, and theyre Australian
Many, indeed most side roads here are limited to 18m wide, and have electric supply cables down one side, so Im not sure how thats going to work out for them.
And it isnt obvious to me how you get a stokes litter or stretcher within the wing space.
Looking at their load capacity of 500kg or 1,100 lbs is quite large, but larger than average taxi cab use which is one or two individuals. Still better too much than too little.
I guess the AUW is somewhere around 2,750 lbs, or about the weight of a Prius.
A conventional aircraft would have quite a sizable footprint in comparison, have half the speed and of course no VTOL
Impressive !

How do the rotors tilt?
I'm also curious why the propellers are so big compared to other distributed propultion props.
