Spiked shoes, I never even thought of that as an option. Now that you point it out it makes perfect sense. Funny how so many things are obvious - but ONLY after someone else points them out.

And the guy that thought up the spike shoes quit his job because he is now making millions selling spike shoes.

I miss this kind of work and definitely like the idea of the spiked shoes but in AZ we struggled to use them sometimes bc the epoxy would thicken/set too fast for us to use them, oftjust bankrolled from the start even though it was slower.

I wore golf shoes once in my parents house in 1986, walked through the kitchen on that linoleum floor and to this day I still have a scar on the side of my neck from getting slapped with a wooden spoon

Yup! They're just like HUGE sandal looking things that secure overtop of your work boot and have about 20-25 spikes on the bottom of them. If you've been in sports the spikes closely resemble the kind of spikes you'd find on the bottom of Track and Field spikes.

I did this exact same thing in the late 1970s, same color too, pouring a floor for a roller skating rink. Used spiked shoes too. The floor came out real smooth.

We had our factory floor painted and as soon as the crew showed up the owner asked everyone's shoe size - hen went and bought everyone a set of golf cleats, which all got thrown in the garbage after the floor was painted

Epoxy paint must be very durable, I'm thinking that would be really good in your personal mechanic garage, home garage.

They are construction cleats that wrap around your shoe/boot. That have little spikes that they walk on

When we did our floors at work, we did a first coat that we thinned with xylene to break the surface tension and allow the epoxy to penetrate into and better bond with the concrete.
