According to the 1979 mechanical drawing, latex adhesive is on the list for this assembly. This rebuild is virtually indistinguishable from the original. Maybe in a lab with expensive equipment there's a difference.

A few Questions as I am looking to do a similar repair. Was the white pad double stick tape and did you cut the dome away from a tacky substrate? What kind of glue did you use: superglue/cyanoacrylate, tack/latex, or some sort of contact cement?

If I remember correctly, no glue is used in these speakers.
