A video is doing the rounds on Twitter where a mahant wearing a saffron towel can be heard saying he will abduct Muslim women from their home and rape them in the open if any Muslim man goes after Hindu women, right in front of a mosque. The tweet shared by AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair says the video was shot on April 2, 2022 in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur in Khairabad district.
The video, which has already gained thousands of views in no time, is being criticized by people on social media. In the video, the mahant can be seen accompanied by local police and surrounded by a large crowd, which can be seen clapping at every word being uttered by the mahant.
The video begins with the man asking everyone to chant Jai Shri Ram. He then provokes the Muslim community and says, there is a group of pigs who have collected Rs 28 lakh to kill him, it is not that easy to kill him. He claims, even if those people take birth 28 times, their god won’t help them to do their wish.
Six days after a Hindu priest's hate speech outside a mosque in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur district, in which he allegedly threatened to kidnap and rape Muslim women, police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. 

ADD ON TODAY:
A case under relevant sections has been registered and further steps are being taken on the basis of witnesses' statements, Sitapur police said in a statement on Twitter after visuals of the speech sparked outrage and questions on why no action had been taken so far. 
Another video which is doing the rounds on social media shows four cops in the frame, three of them in the same vehicle as the priest as he delivers the hate speech, raising questions on why an FIR was registered after 6 days and why no further action has been taken yet.
