I had to resist the urge to slap a guy in the mouth that i work with. He was vehemently telling me that medieval armor was so incredibly heavy that the people in it were actually worse than the people that didn't wear any. That the armor slowed them down so much that they could barely move. I told him he was so dead wrong that it's insulting. I also told him if 60-80lbs will render him immobile, time to hit the gym. He insisted that armor was hundreds of pounds. It was painful hearing this because he said it with such conviction.

Cool! I really loved the armour Alexander wore. The linen one that was incredibly light but extremely durable. What a feat of warfare engineering to create armour from linen

At one point in Romeβs history, it was also great because they made different sizes for different pieces, so you could roughly get one issued that fitted you fairly well.
