Here’s what I made of it:
🏩 THE HOTEL 🏩
Friendly staff who UPGRADED ME and let me in my room 2 hours early (ta huns)
Huge hotel with so many facilities. The hotel was fully booked and yet plenty of space for everyone.
Some bits felt super modern, others felt a little dated BUT I could tell there had been real effort when last refurbished and so I didn’t mind at all. Quite liked the quirks!
The views were OUTRAGEOUS. Wowowowowow.
Rocky beach - as is quite standard in Croatia
🗺️ THE AREA 🗺️
Just a 5 min walk downhill to Cavtat - the hotel also has a golf buggy service which is great for the climb back up!
Cavtat is gorgeous. Loads of restaurants.
Loads of spots for swimming - the water is so clear around here!
💰 THE OCTOBER DEAL 💰
Guest services confirmed that all hotel facilities will be open at the end of Oct into November
However, Cavtat does start to wind down as of 1st Nov. Some restaurants will be open, but most won’t
The boat to Dubrovnik also finishes on 31st Oct but still a bus service from Cavtat, and you can always get a taxi (Uber is around £22 one way) - Dubrovnik will have lots open still!

I stayed at that hotel about many years ago (2016 I think) ... the steak restaurant was wonderful, and it is not far from Cavtat itself (with some cheeky little restaurants) but also if you go down the steps the other direction you'll end up in the nudist area ... or did you find that already ;-)

Q. Is this hotel your vibe?
A. If travelling alone, no. I just stick to hostels by myself. Just want want somewhere clean, safe, a place to rest my head and have a shower.
If I had a gf, then yes.
Q. Would you have gone back and asked for a double bed?
If I had a gf, I'd either push beds together or ask for a double.
Me by myself, I could live with that.
Q. Would going off season put you off?!
A. No. I usually do a short break in off season each year. Croatia is always beautiful, despite never been to that part.
I was in Zadar last month and I love the place. I'd go back in October if I had the chance.
I'm off to Tirana at the end of Sept. Might try to see how much £100 would get me for 2 nights.

I've stayed here randomly during covid. It's a lovely hotel, feels like a former Sheraton or Hilton from 1980s which has been upgraded. It's very nice and it's in a lovely little town which is brilliant to be away from the crowds of Dubrovnik. Only downside it was a bit package holiday vibe.
