This is so sweet. ❤. When my younger of my two brothers was born my mom had him at a birthing center and I was allowed to sit next to my mom. My dad was standing on the same side as I was sitting, my Grammy was on the other side and apparently my aunt was standing by Grammy but for some reason I cannot remember my aunt standing there but I even remember the color of the blankets not white and my dad and Grammy there) the doctor was across the room by the window trying to get his gloves on when my mom yelled that the baby was coming right now! He told her not to push yet he wasn’t ready to catch him to which mom responded I’m not pushing but he’s coming anyways. At this moment I looked down and saw my baby brothers head was out and I touched his hair and asked “mommy why is his hair all wet”. The doctor RAN over to the bed just in time to catch my brother and it became a funny experience shared throughout our lives. I always felt like it was extremely special that I was the first human to touch my brother when he entered the outside world. Before even the doctors or nurses or my mom or dad. Me and my little brother are 2 years and 10 months apart in age and to this day we are extremely close. My youngest brother is 11 years younger than myself and 8 years younger than my little bro and it was funny because the nurse ended up delivering my baby bro since he was ready to enter the world but the doctor had not even been able to get to the room yet. She asked dad if he wanted to cut the cord and he pretty much was like no I already did that twice and it kind of grosses me out but if one of the kid’s wants to they can. So I got to cut my baby brothers cord. We are also super close to this day and as a baby he wanted me to carry him most often lol.
