I usually subconsciously attempt to disengage conversation. Probably because 80% of the conversations I’ve had usually 1) doesn’t peak my interest in machinery and technology or 2) simple questions that require 5 seconds or less of thinking, which sometimes I forget that people don’t think as fast as I do. Even with my old friends, I only just listened and only spoke to answer questions they had, rather about me, or some random fact about the state of technology. But now that I’m alone, I have nothing to speak of.
