Yep. I dated a young man for a while and he wanted me to meet his Mom. On the way there, he pleaded with me to lay off on the "serial killer stuff". I was appalled and had to explain that True Crime is NOT just about serial killers but I can leave them out of my stories if its gonna make your Mom happy.
We didn't stay together long after that. 😆

lol i relate to this deeply. But I also love history, and always end up bringing up some random shit about the history of torture, or the horrors of the Vietnam war!
Also, Jiles, I enjoy you so much... I have been watching (& sometimes only listening) since the very beginning. Every time in a recounting of someone finding a body, I literally always yell at the tv (practically unaware I am doing it at this point, the only ones who care are my startled cats) "omg it's NEVER a mannequin!"
I was watching one of your videos recently and I could never tell what your background said. Even though I regularly scream that at the tv... it tickled me to death. I seriously love that you put that up. I am, however, concerned that I did not realize what it said for so long.
