If the Mormon church didnโ€™t want me to speak the truth about them, they shouldnโ€™t have taught me to be honest.

They keep moving the goalpost so that they don't lose their members (AKA their source of income)
Remember when they decided black people were okay after the US government threatened to take away their non-profit tax status.

This is super true! Lucky my parents did so much digging when I was about 5yrs old and they decided to leave the Mormon church for our family to be stronger and so we donโ€™t grow up in a bad society!

I'm an ex mormon who is mexican and went to church in nyc. My experience with the church is so different that no mormon or elder has been taught how to defend the church from me.

I condemn the church for supporting trump in 2016. Regardless of what you believe politically, the church comes first. I know for a fact that there are illegal immigrant members who are serving a mission regardless regardless of their immigrationstatus. I was taught that the missionaries sacrifice two years for the church so they can "baptize and save" as many souls. Trump directly put their life's and mission in danger and the church fully supported him. The church also knows they have many Hispanics and people of color in their churches in major cities, and the knew how much the election was dividing the country, the church always said "we live in this world but we should not be a part of it." It looked to me like that was the perfect situation to live up to those words and the church failed.

I've talked to at least 4 different group of missionaries and none of them have ever come back to visit me. I'm guessing they talked to their mission leaders and were told to just leave me alone because they have nothing to defend themselves with.

Something funny just hit me. It's interesting how someone in a system that's all about saying what's right and wrong, can't stand being told how they're wrong. As someone else pointed out, "sure sounds like fascism." ๐Ÿ˜‚

Message for all Mormons: If a โ€˜prophetโ€™ gets even ONE prophecy wrong, he is a false prophet.
God makes NO mistakes.
The End

I told my TBM mom, "The church taught me to have incredibly high standards and it got to the point where I realized that they can't meet those standards they teach."

If they didnโ€™t want us to speak out then they should stop forcing me to learn about Church History/D&Cโ€ฆitโ€™s all right there so get over it!

I know the Mormons act like that, but I really appreciate your content, which I have just now stumbled upon. I've never officially been mormon, but I started going through the process of converting bc of my ex-boyfriend. He dumped me before I could officially convert, but I got deep into researching it, and to this day, I still own 2 BoMs, the DoC, the Pearl of Great Price, and the official Mormon KJV Bible. For this reason, while I was never officially Mormon, videos like these do help me to not doubt my choice to stop converting whenever I did.

If nobody's perfect then I think the church would lose its claim on being the "one true church."

No one on earth could make it to the highest heaven by their standards. Unless you're perfect and no one is.

Oh my word!! I'm absolutely gonna use that line publicly, I hope that's OK

Not you calling me (the nevermo) out for being the one interrupting heated debates between exmo and TBMs! Iโ€™m dying!

This sparked my curiosity about how exactly the LDS institutionalised definitions of race pre-1978, e.g. if people without Black or African ancestry were classified by their known heritage or by their skin colour. I'm now scrolling through Wikipedia in disgust at the elaborate mental gymnastics they did over the years to justify this.
