So that's where those random headaches come from.

Yes everyone Mountain Dew exists in other countries, but it's not the same recipe, simply because it would need to be made with sugar instead of corn syrup anyways

DO NOT EAT STORE SOLD PORK! I worked on a factory pork farm for a year. I was healthy until 6+ months into the job I developed irregular heart rhythm.
We also: medicated pigs water, vaccinated pigs every week, breeding pigs come from labs, regularly administered strong antibiotics, etc etc... those pigs had mutated babies and developed some crazy health problems. Im so glad to be gone from that job but am left with a lot of anxiety and feel horrible for those pigs and visa workers stuck there.

Many of these foods are sold with altered recipes in foreign nations. You can buy Mountain Dew in Korea, but of course it doesn't have brominated vegetable oil. Also, there's plenty of US pork in Korea, so I assume not all American pigs are given this dangerous chemical.

Fun fact: companies make a "healthy" version for country that banned the products

Theyre not banned here in the EU (skittles and mt dew), they are sold with different formulas that dont contain the banned chemicals. I still dont drink any soft drinks though.

Reminder that only the American version is illegal in other countries, and not the product itself.

Usually because Americans often get the short end of the stick on food quality.

when I was a kid, Mountain Dew always gave me a headache so I wouldn't drink it.

But I never knew why I always had a headache as a child.

They actually removed Brominated Vegetable oil. I noticed that it was used as a food ingredient anymore, and another health risk from BV is full body paralysis, which happened to someone who drank a gallon of Mountain Dew, a day, for a year.

We have fruit loops here but ours doesn't look that poisonous and we don't have the blue ones.

And our skittles also doesn't have those vibrant colors, they look a little bit more pale but I'm sure they are almost as unhealthy as the american ones πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

But I'm a sucker for Dr. Pepper cherry, it's soo good ❀

edit: I'm from Austria/Vien

I think mountain dew recently did away with the brominated vegetable oil

It’s not the products that get banned , it’s the ingredients within it that get banned.

It's not necessarily the products that are banned but some of the ingredients. The ingredients are often substituted with something else rather than the products being banned completely.

As a diabetic i pay pretty close attention to the sugar content of anything i eat. So just to give you an idea a 330ml can of coca cola contains 33 g or glucose. This makes it great for a go to "hypo treatment" (hypo being short for hypoglycemic meaning low blood sugar). A 500ml bottle of mountain dew that i saw when i was in the US was more than 60g of glucose. To give a scale of just how terrifying that is my average lunch is unlikely to exceed that and let me tell you im hardly the salad type. We're talking sandwich on white bread with drink and dessert (which usually means cookie or something along those lines)

Apart from the bromine whatever in it the sugar alone is enough to justify a ban
