Welcome to The Jijivisha Fellowship, a transformative full-time paid fellowship programme run by Slam Out Loud. As a Fellow, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's lives as a socio-emotional learning (SEL) facilitator in low-income private schools across India.

Our Fellows are instrumental in fostering Creative Confidence skills in children, combining Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL) and essential 21st-century skills through various expressive art forms such as poetry, visual art, storytelling, and theatre. With a year-long commitment, you will have the chance to nurture the next generation of confident individuals.

Exciting news! The Fellowship, which successfully operated in Delhi and Pune, is expanding to Mumbai and Bangalore in 2023. This expansion will allow us to reach even more children from disadvantaged communities attending underserved schools. Together, we aim to touch the lives of over 10,500 children, providing them with the tools they need to thrive.

As a Fellow, you will be actively involved in the classrooms from Mondays to Saturdays, working with 40 students in each grade (5-8). You'll not only create engaging lesson plans but also collaborate with teachers and school administration to ensure a holistic learning environment. Additionally, you'll engage with parents and the larger community, equipping them with SEL-based tools. Leading sharing circles and best practices circles, you will contribute to improved outcomes for children throughout their educational journey.
