I was told at 17 an unplanned pregnancy could kill me and that I couldnāt be on hormonal birth control in the same breath. Believed my doctor. So when I ended up pregnant (condom failure) unplanned, I thought it was my only option. I just gave birth to my first child who made it earthside and itās the hardest pain to have to live with.

That is indeed horrible... I have so much sympathy for women who regret abortion. I would never shame someone for getting an abortion just as I wouldn't call a woman a slut. Instead it's the people who proudly champion such things as "empowering" that need to be admonished, not the people who fall victim to their false promises.

While we donāt see eye to eye on everything, this take of yours on abortion I can stand behind. Iām pro choice, but I canāt imagine the feeling of regret some women face regarding abortion and I agree the culture tells women that a baby will ruin them when we can be sending different messages and offering support for young mothers ā¤ļøāš©¹

Some people use abortion for other reasons beyond career and youth. Some people just canāt have anymore babies health-wise, or they canāt afford or handle any more kids as a wife and mother of numerous children already.
I think itās important we discuss and lay out the entire picture.
Abortion is definitely not ideal, to be celebrated or used as BC; and most women donāt want to have them. That doesnāt mean thereās never a place for one, sadly.
