The new BMW turn signals are odd, I think they tried to make their own version of Mazda’s fading LED turn signals and botched it. It gets attention though and I think that’s what many BMW drivers look for.

And BMW took the styling cue from the Pontiac Aztek which was a horrendous looking car. When the BMW came out, everyone joked it looked like the Aztek. Today, a coupe SUV is a premium priced design. How times change.
