I run. A lot. Nothing crazy 2.5 miles 5-6 days a week. I stretch more often everyday several times. I stayed plenty hydrated, had plenty potassium, still get leg cramps. Bad. Then Dr says most likely low on magnesium which helps muscle relax when at rest. Zinc Potassium Magnesium supplement now I rarely get leg cramps unless I forget to take it. Works
