As a help desk analyst for a big company - I spend my evening calling user for any tickets in my teams queue that haven't been addressed by the assigned agents and take them over.

I can definitely relate to this. Clients get one call from me and 3 emails. Ticket cancelled after. If they don't respond to the call I'm probably never hearing from them. No way in hell I could get through 30 tickets in an hour if they picked up their phones
